Villa Rumah Bunga is located at Saba Beach, 14 kilometres north of Sanur off the Ida Bagus Mantra Bypass on Bali’s south-east coast. This is still a very traditional part of the island where guests will see farmers tending to their rice fields, papaya and tobacco plantations or herding their ducks, woman foraging for small black stones on the beach to make a living and local fisherman hauling in their catch of the day, giving you a sense of  ‘real’ Bali life.

Saba is also a very spiritual place and many village and cleansing ceremonies take place at the nearby temple. It is also home to the famous Legong dance. There are some great surf breaks in close proximity but care should be taken when swimming in the ocean as the currents are very strong. However, the beachside location makes for spectacular sunrise walks along the glistening black volcanic sands with the mystical Mount Agung towering in the distance.

With easy access to the bypass it is only a ten-minute drive to Sukawati’s art and craft market, twenty minutes to the cafés and restaurants of Sanur and 30 minutes to Ubud.  Keramas surf break is within walking distance (or a five minute drive) where guests can also eat and drink at the new Komune Resort and Beach Club.
